Hi,

Converting LHD to RHD using Mike Cassidy's articles, which I should say are great as I would have had no chance without them.

I am on part 7, brakes and pipes. The original plastic fuel line is in place with clips C10268. From what I understand the new brake pipe run from front to back underneath the car should also be secured using these 4 clips.

I would appreciate if someone had a picture the could share of the fuel pipe and brake pipe secured using these clips.

Kind regards,

Ian

Hi,

Appreciate it may be difficult to take a picture in the winter.

Has anyone had experience of using this clip? I assume the brake pipe should go in first then the fuel pipe above it. My concern is that the brake pipe is not clipped just kept in place albeit with very little wriggle room by the larger diameter fuel pipe.

If this was the original set up I am keen to keep it the same, has anyone else done this or gone for separate clips for the brake pipe?

Kind regards,

Ian.

Hi Ian

When I ran my fuel and brake lines I spent hours trying to find the correct parts and routes without any degree of success or confidence that what I did was factory correct.

I think the usual suspects just supplied basic p clips under the factory part numbers.

It was a nightmare but at that time I didn't know about this forum....

Regards

When I did my L >R conversion.
I clipped the brake pipe to the LHS box section and the fuel the RHS.
Or have I missread your post ?

Thank you for your feedback.

I have looked at the Factory fit section without success. There is an underside picture of a LHD which has the brake pipe on the left hand side, no RHD unfortunately.

Have contacted CMC as this clip was mentioned (no photo) in the restoration book of 564 DFJ, am also waiting feedback from the supplier of the re manufactured clips.

Just hope I get something for the weekend as I hope to complete the rear master piping!

Kind regards,

Ian.
