Hello everyone, just sharing some photos of the beginning of a light restoration of our Series 1 kept in Italy.
We plan to fix any rusted body parts, restore the original Carmen Red paintwork, re-cover seats, replace soft top and make sure little details are brought back to the original, ie: Gear knob, strip darker varnish added at some stage on steering wheel and restore to original. We are using a local family run body shop that's been around for many years. I shall try to post progress pictures as and when I get them sent over.

Simone, that's good news to hear you are going to get it lightly and sympathetically restored.
Keep us posted on the progress and encourage the people to ask questions on here if they are unsure of anything.
