#1 Head Colour for early S1

Hi Folks
am investigating what the correct head colour is for my car #875425
It currently has a gold painted head
But I read that XK150's and early E Types had Pumpkin colour heads
However, I cannot find reference as to when the change was made from Pumpkin to Gold
Can anyone throw some light on this pls ?
