Hi all,
My car has never had these sealing strips (or the duct shield at the bottom of the radiator) I note some of the suppliers list a cut-to-length strip of what looks like self adhesive foam tape. Would this need to be heat resistant?

No , doesn't need to be resistant. Just buy draught excluder foam tape from DIY shop(better than the jag suppliers cut-to-length stuff).
