Hi All

I've recently had my 3.8 Moss gearbox oil swapped with Redline MTL 75W80. I was surprised how "thin" this appeared straight from the container - I was expecting a thicker viscosity. Did other people find the same?

I'm still waiting to see if it makes much of a difference in hotter weather on a long run. If anything at the moment, the gears feel slightly more difficult to engage at cold (but that could be it being 75W as opposed to 20W). I also note others' comments that it may take a few hundred miles for it to make a difference.

I recently swapped to MTL and it took a hundred miles or so to properly work through. The gearchange is much sharper now.

I suspect it gets fully pumped-through in a hundred yards. The hundred miles is maybe what it takes for some owners to fully realize and enjoy the change.

I noticed the smoother changes by the time I reached the road from my garage.
