Hi:
Would anyone happen to know the height of the rear bumper flange from the datum line (floor)?
Seems I have a difference from left to right sides...so which one is correct so one can alter the other side to match...
Thank you in advance!
Mike

Hi Mike, have you checked to see if the front & rear suspension is level? Your measurement from floor to bumper may never be exactly the same on both sides due to body variances but could be out significantly if the rear suspension isn’t level. Does the car look level when viewing from the back from a distance? I had an issue whereby my car was sitting low on the left rear. As it turned out the right front was too high. I adjusted the torsion bars per the factory manual and it levelled the car.

Cheers,
Pete

Hi Pete
The car is under a major rebuild so none of the suspension is in the car. I was hoping that someone might have this figure jotted down somewhere...
Thank you,
Mike

So I now see. Different kettle of fish altogether Mike. I have a friend who is at about the same stage as you with a 62 FHC. His rear bodywork is finished. I’ll see if he can get a measurement. I’d assume OTS & FHC would be the same below the bumper line.

Regards
Pete

Mike, I’ve still not heard back from my friend re his E Type measurements as his body repairer is away and there’s no access to the car at this stage. Sorry.

Merry Christmas,
Pete
