Hi...you have already posted this question in 2 other posts...and have answers....the gearbox cannot come out on its own..you need to remove engine and gearbox as one unit......Steve

I suggest you get a service manual and follow the instructions...it says remove engine and gearbox as one unit...i do not see any replies to you here on this forum that sugest you can remove the gearbox without removeing the engine....Steve

It is quite impossible to remove the gearbox without removing the engine and gearbox as a unit. This can either be done upwards, which is the factory way of doing it , or downwards, which is more long-winded ( carburetters etc have to come off ) but safer for many home mechanics . There are many threads on this board which show how this is done . Before you start on this major undertaking, what is your gearbox problem ?

Edit : I have now seen your other postings, so I understand your problem , which sounds more to be a clutch problem than a gearbox one
