#1 New Clutch slave cylinder: losing fluid overnight?

Hi there,

I've purchased a clutch slave cylinder (C21470# CLUTCH SLAVE CYL, ca. 40EUR, 18 months ago) from the usual ;-)
After 500 mls I noticed that it lost 150 ml fluid overnight, after a ride in hot weather (25°C+).
I topped the fluid up, and it appears that it is still incontinent, but just not that much.

Bad luck? Or typical?

greetings
Dan

Not good! Are you certain it is leaking from the slave and it's not something simple like the bleed nipple or pipe not quite nipped down?

If its leaking you should see the leak
It will be wet
Pull off the rubber cap on the slave and see if its got fluid in it
Then do the same with the master cylinder

Hello,

well, I guess the leak is in the bottom of the bottle:

This is the "re-enforced" type with the metal pipe in the nipple (C36607 CLUTCH RES.BOTTLE SQ), also from the usual, 2 years old.

Had anybody else this issue with new bottles?
