Help! Launch car details needed.

Could anyone please help with a project I'm working on?


From what I can gather, there were TWO cars (coupes) at the launch in Geneva.
I know one was 9600HP but what was the spec of the other one?

Presumably, this second car was on the stand, whereas 9600HP was driven to Geneva.
Regarding the second "stand" car, can anyone please tell me what spec it was i.e. was it left hand drive or right?

What colour was it? Any other details?

Incidentally, what is the name of the colour of 9600HP? Is it Sable Brown?

There were actually three E-Types at Geneva - 9600 HP the Opalescent Gunmetal Grey FHC now owned by Philip Porter, 77 RW - the green OTS now held by JDHT and a silver LHD FHC which resides in Switzerland. The first two were used for test drives whilst the LHD car was on the stand. After the show it was sold by the Swiss Jaguar dealer and still resides in Switzerland. Here is a picture of it in 2001 at the park in Geneva next to my car. It has since been restored to its original condition and colour but the registration number is correct if it is of any help.
