Colour of Battery supporting bracket?
#1 Colour of Battery supporting bracket?
Folks,
The battery sits on a black tray and this tray sits on a panel fitted between the side of the sill and the bottom of the sill. Its called a battery carrier (part number BD15165)
Is this panel painted body colour or is it black? SNG supply them in black and my car USED to be black so I have no way of telling...
Thanks to all who can be bothered to look for me :)

Chris,
I will look tonight, but being a restored Series 1, I do not know if mine is correct either.

Black as far as I am aware. In order for it to be body colour it would have had to have been painted off the car (you couldn't hit the inner sill where it fits with paint with it on).ChrisC wrote:Folks,

Mine was body colour when I removed it during the restoration, but underneath that it was black (and the car had been resprayed previously). I painted it black - I agree with the others that it was probably black originally.
