Hi. can anyone direct me to a an S1 or S2 wiper motor outright sale . Not exchange as I don't have one to refurbish . The only one I can find is in USA which will need converting left to right action. Plus I don't know what import duty would be. Its looking like about £4 -£500 . It is the last main item in a full build from scratch. Probably prefer S2 type .

A S2 wiper motor is easy and they turn up on ebay all the time - you need to look for Rover SD1 or Triumph dolomite sprint motors. You should get one if you are diligent and patient for £30-40 . The gear is available from Barratts and the mounting plates and arm from Richard Smith. You should be able to do the whole lot for £70. The S1 motor (DL3A) was fitted to 2 stroke SAAB s among other cars but usually in single speed form. You would need to add a resistor to obtain a second speed. You would need to be very patient to find one of these.
