Hi All
I have just joined and am in the process of importing my 1966 Series One. With that in mind, I have completed the V55 form but just wanted to ask if anyone knows whether there are other forms required apart from my ID? It's never been registered in the UK before.
Many thanks in anticipation.
Ray

Hi Ed
Many thanks for that - most helpful. Where do you get an MOT exemption form?

Hi Gents
The V112 form from the DVLA gets you MOT exemption as you are declaring your 40 year old vehicle is one with historic status. Worked for my Lotus without a hitch.

The V112 “Declaration of exemption from MOT” Form is available on the DVLA Government website and is simply printed out from there. Just fill in the Vehicle Registration Number, your full name and put “r” as the Category which gives rise to the exemption and then sign the Declaration that the information provided is correct.
Category “r” gives Exemption for a vehicle registered or manufactured 40 years ago and which has not been substantially changed in the last 30 years. The definitions of “substantially changed” are provided on the reverse of the Form.
Regards,
Dave
