#1 S1 2+2 Trafficator

Hello All,
Any members with S1 2+2 cars, would you mind confirming for me the correct location for the winged shield shown in the two follow pictures, that is, with a gap between the shield and the body into which the trafficator stalk attaches as in the picture immediately below, or with no gap as shown in the second picture below.
You can probably determine this by looking in through the slot in the shroud that covers the whole trafficator assembly, through which the trafficator stalk passes.
