#1 Refitting washer jet S1 3.8

Post by Ruurd Schut » Mon Jul 11, 2022 3:18 pm

The left hand side washer jet came loose, no big deal but form where can I reach the jet ??
I can't recall how I installed it >>20 years ago, my car is an early 3.8 LHD
It seems that the only way is removing the heater box, but before doing so better to ask for advice.
I remember that it is fastened with a wing nut, but can't reacht it

Best to replace it with a push in style jet......

The wing nut will still be on the hose.

If you can get your hand inside the dash section through the centre hole behind the instrument panel you should be able to push it up to the jet body and do it up.

If you have a child with small hands it might help.

Thank you all for your comments, it seems that the movie "Mission Impossible" gets a second chapter.
Will try to convince my nephew that without his support I can't drive the E type anymore
