#1 Master Brake/ Clutch Cylinder Aluminium Tags

Post by Gadget » Mon Aug 08, 2022 1:21 am

I have just had a batch of 50 Aluminium tags cut. The dimensions were taken from an original 1961 tag that is in very good condition. I am awaiting delivery of the correct size number and letter punches and have to make a punching jig. If any forum members are interested please let me know, I will not be putting them on eBay etc. I have had them made for my car but the minimum quantity was 50 hence the spares. I do not yet know the cost as I am expecting the letter and number punching to be rathe fiddly.

Yes Please - two of these for my brake cylinders. There is a very useful article (post #66 on the 3.8 Factory Fit section) showing what stamping is required. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2006&p=39720&hilit=tag#p39720. There are two different part numbers for each of the brake master cylinders which are then date coded. Would you potentially offer these for different years?

I am not sure whether the clutch master cylinder had the same type of tag though. If it is, could you please add another one for that.

As to how long the tags were on, my 1967 ots (1E15221) has one.
