Hello,
For testing I would like to fit a replacement ignition coil. On the original item, the contact points are marked with "CW" and "SW". On the new one with "+" and "-". Which connection point of the old coil corresponds to that of the new one ? It is the 3.8 engine and unchanged positive ground.
Thank you for your help.
John

From memory, for positive earth cars, the wire from the ignition switch went to the "-" , which was the sw terminal on the old version.

CB = contact breaker
SW = switch
In a positive earth car the negative wire goes to SW and the positive to CB which earths when the points close.

Hello Richard, hello andrew,
For positive earth cars:
sw = "-" and
cb = "+"
Thank you

It should be CB, not CW.
