Hello everyone,

Do you know the date of change of the heating fan motor between the 2 or 3 floors?

Thank you for your help

Thank you very much Andrew,

Unfortunately, the dates of change are not specified.

Could car owners near November 1, 61, (875987) tell us the model present?

The best person to ask is Maikel Lemke, if anyone knows he may do.

The date of the change is not known as the Jaguar part number stayed the same throughout S1 production. The change in casing was an AC-Delco decision and even their part number remained the same apart from a sub number - L1 vs C5 and I can find no documentation relating to it in either companies documentation. It is also not referenced in either the Haddock/Mueller or McKay books. My best guess would be the casing changed at the end of 1961. My March 1962 build FHC has the later casing.

Here is a picture of my unrestored early December 61 car 885289 for all those for being period correct on the heater fan motor. I am not sure when the change over was.

I think I also have at least one for sale. Just in case but the one offered looks good.
