A hardware question, which bolt/washers to use. Online I see all kinds of solutions and my OEM Jaguar books I can't tell.
I got the kit in the picture, so plenty to choose from
-The bolt goes from the outside, right?
-First washer is a lock washer?
-Not shown in my books, but the "oval" washer then?
-front wing
-And then there's the distance washer, in the kit are two kinds where there are the required 22, is it the small or bigger and thicker? And where do the other 22 then go?
-centre panel
-Inside is oval washer and nut. But also lock washer?
My understanding is the sequence below outside to inside, but which distance washer?

Have a look here: https://www.monocoque-metalworks.com/ma ... inal-push/
Chuck at Monocoque in the US has posted quite a few useful descriptions of how to do work on the E Type. He has others on the bonnet, too. Have a look at all of them.

Mikael, I hope that helps. We are encouraged not to quote other users’ posts as it takes up server space. Yes, do so where it is needed and even then edit down the quote to only the necessary words.

From my experience the "fittings kits" supply 1/4" UNF bolts to fix the wings to the centre panel - but the Official Parts Catalogue says these should be UNC (UCS.125/5R). Should they really be UNC thread or UNF as supplied in the kits I have seen?
Thanks.
Steve

The original bolts were UNC.
