Spin on oil filter or OEM

I'm considering the spin on adapter, I got this idea that it's more leak safe and just better? Any views, does everybody do the switch, or are there many happy owners using the old filter system?

Mikael, standby for divided opinions. I have one and am pleased with it, though Heuer thinks the original is more than good enough. Here are some comments you might wish to read.

One thing to note is the filter included with the kit is felt to be inadequate flow so go for something like the Fram PH2857a filter.

I bought a spin on filter adaptor about 18 years ago.

It's still in the box.

Even though I change the filter at least once every year, sometimes twice, I've never felt the spin on filter was that much better than the OE arrangement.
