#1 ignition coil replacement

Post by pafagt » Mon Jun 05, 2023 7:58 pm

Hello forum.. I need to replace the ignition coil for my car. Anyone with experience with the Pertronix system? I'm looking at the Flame Thrower performance electronic distributor with its coil ignition from Pertronix. Also should it be Ballasted or NON ballasted for a late series 1 car..??

Thank you very much for your help,
Pablo

I just use the 123 electronic distributor and it has performed perfectly for the last 10+ years(at a guess).

(also have one fitted to my XK120.

Cheers,

Thank you very much Richard. I use a 1,2 3 also in a 190 SL with no issues. I was wondering about the pertronix since Moss is promoting them and I was about to place a big order with them. Thanks again, I think I’ll probably stick with 1,2 3
