123 Dizzy fitment, cork seal or not?

Evening fellow E type owners. Its just a quick question, I am fitting a 123, as I have several time before but I have forgotten if its necessary to fit the cork gasket to seal the crankcase when the 123 comes with an O ring on its shaft. I expect the answer is not necessary. Anyway, all views appreciated thanks Andrew
