#1 Rev counter generator repair (too low indication)

Post by PierreW » Sat Sep 21, 2024 5:53 pm

I think I found why my rev counter generator wasn't working properly! it never exceeded 3000 rpm. After carefully opening it, I noticed that the upper ring of the pole crown had shifted and came into contact with the opposite crown. These pieces must be arranged regularly so that the induction is optimal and generates the voltage wanted. I glued everything in the right position after bringing all in the good position again (be careful to not harm the winding) so that there would be no possible future shift. We'll see if I'm right during the tests tomorrow!
