#1 Seat back rubber ring size

Post by 40GT » Thu Dec 12, 2024 7:06 pm

Hi all,

having searched here I can't really find anything relating to the actual parts involved in the back rest on the later S1 seats, does anyone know the rubber ring size? section and I/D or O/D

Many thanks, Sean.

They are available to buy from trimmers (Aldridge/BAS) etc.

Thanks Steve, I had already found these, though I would prefer to know the size before I strip the seats.

The originals on mine were thin and stretched. The new ones were thicker giving a firmer effect. With little adjustment on the back rest, it can make you feel like youre being pushed forward, in the seat. I have MX-5 converted seats also and so much better.

Thanks Steve,
this was my concern and as with many repro parts on the shelf, they can be not what you expect, tweaking to suit is something I try to follow.
Very interesting you note the forwards push, not a great feeling I would say.
