#1 Separating front hub from disc

I started what I thought would be a simple job this afternoon - removing the front discs to either clean them up or replace them. I have removed the hub assembly fine - caliper off, pin out, castle nut off. I have also removed the 5 bolts securing the disc to the hub.

But...the disc is stuck fast to the hub. No matter how much persuasion I use, I cannot separate them. Any tips? I don't have access to a press....

The disc should just be bolted to the hub...no press fit etc...probably just corrosion holding it together...but who knows what a previous owner has done.....welded it etc..hold the hub and give the disc a few serious whacks with a big mallet should seperate it...or a chisel where disc mates to hub....Steve

Some heat from a propane torch or similar applied to the mounting flange area would be helpful.

I've already tried the hitting it hard approach - have added some PBX and left it overnight. Will try again and apply some heat...
