#1 Question about Rear Anti-Roll Bar C17151

Post by nickb59 » Tue Nov 25, 2025 5:44 pm

Hi there

The S1 4.2 FHC that I recently acquired had enhanced suspension for track racing purposes. My plan is to restore the car to an original street car standard, with standard suspension for comfort purposes. I have already identified that the front ARB is enhanced and have a standard size replacement in readiness for the project. The query I have is about the rear ARB. I know that enhanced Rear ARBs are available and I am sure that this would have been fitted to my car. The diameter of the bar is 3/4". My research seems to conclude that this is the standard size, but I have seen advertised Rear ARB Mounts that accomodate 5/8" or even 11/16" bars, which suggests to me that 5/8" or 11/16" Rear ARBs are available, which are obviously going to be much less stiff than the current 3/4" ARB. Can anyone enlighten me. This would be much appreciated.

Nick
