Hi guys,
I’m considering replacing the fuel tank in the very near future (before the good weather arrives!) as there is a smell of petrol fumes in the boot and I’ve already replaced/checked everything else (pipes, pump etc) in the boot.

Have you any recommendations as to who the best supplier of the fuel tank would be - SNG, Robey etc?

Any advice/recommendations would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance, Richard

Most OTS boots seem to have a whiff of petrol in them in my experience with old or new tanks.

Thanks Bill👍👍.

Perhaps I’ll leave it for the time being.

I removed mine last year and it had rusted through at the bottom, the only think stopping the fuel leaking out was the bituminous pad under the tank that had sort of bonded to the bottom

New tank, then use JIC pipe fittings throughout the boot. There are suitable adaptors available that allow connectiions to tank and pump. After that there shouldn't be any appreciable fuel smells. Not original but far safer.
