The 'E' Type Forum

I found these in a box marked "doors" along with some window frame spacers. I've checked the manuals and can't see where they fit.

All ideas appreciated.

Are they metal, are they threaded at all? (Otherwise they might have been put in the doors to create a rattle to annoy the next owner.)
I certainly don’t recognise them.

They look like the actual buttons that run in the lifting channel of the winder mechanism, bearings if you like.

They're rubber. They look like the rubber suckers you used to get on the ends of a childs arrow, from a bow and arrow set..

I was wondering if they were to stop the glass rattling in the door frame but can't see where they'd be used. I'll have a closer look at the winder to see if/how they fit there.

Uncanny, they're almost identical, perhaps they're a plug through rest for the mechanism, I know on my car the winder mech rests on the door bottom when fully opened.
