#1 DHC door glass problem

Post by lyons » Tue Jul 05, 2011 3:16 pm

After I attach the door glass to the winding mechanism, what stops the glass from winding right out the top of the frame. Am I missing a pin stop or something as I have chacked the parts manual and nothing is listed.

Thanks for any help

there is usually a removable small square stop which locates snugly inside the window channel fitted to the door glass, the block has a machine screw through its middle and once its in position you nip up the screw, you could probably drill a hole in the channel and fit a small nut and bolt with some washers that would do a similair job

Good chance it maybe lying loose in the door cavity

Mine doesn't have that, maybe it was different on some cars. The window travel is limited by a stop screw in the window regulator... see N24 of the service manual.
