Hi, please could someone give me some advice on the wiring connections for the wiper park switch on my 1966 FHC.
The switch is the type on the wiper rack inside the cutout behind the instrument panel. At the moment the switch has a black lead atached to it with a male bullet connection at the free end. I initially believed this to be an earth connection but the rack is earthed at another point at the left hand end.
Does this black lead connect to the red/light green wire that I have conveniently in the right position and is shown as the feed to the park switch on the wiring diagram? If not does this feed connect somewhere else that I can't find?
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Steve.

Steve : sorry for delay. I've just looked at mine ( 1965) and the black wire is soldered to the top spur of the brass switch . The bottom of the black wire has a bullet connector and is indeed connected to the red/light green wire
It is all a very arcane system and I cannot now remember exactly how it works, but the essence is that when you turn the wiper switch off, the motor runs backwards to park the blades

Some useful information on the wiper system operating principals can be found in this article regarding converting LHD wiper installations to RHD - http://www.xkedata.com/resources/read/?id=9

Many thanks for the info, I have seen an explainantion of the reversing and parking process somwhere before. I think the act of writting things down in a logical process half helped to clear things up but confirmation of the purpose of the black wire is just what I needed. I just had a nagging doubt about connecting a live feed to a black wire!
By the way Chris I have been looking at your restoration - it looks fantastic.
