Can anyone tell me how to fit the centre console over the gearbox tunnel. I cannot get the handbrake and gearstick through at the same time. Do I have to remove the handbrake or is there a knack to fitting? Am I missing something really obvious ? Please help

You have to pull the handbrake up as hard and as far as possible, engage first gear and put the console in nose first. At least that is how I do it - others here may have a more scientific method!

Nope, same here David, but then I am using your old console so maybe it comes with the part :-)

Do I have to disconnect the handbrake because it only lifts about 3 notches

Disconnect it at the rear where the cable meets the compensator . This is much easier than fiddling around with the front connection under the lever
