Hi
Suggest you log onto
www.xkedata.com, it's a treasure trove of information....serial numbers depend on age and coupe or roadster

A short adjustment. The outside bonnet latch FHC ended after 885020. So theoretically there were 20 lhd FHC plus the 4 rhd ones, totalling in 24 overall.
However 885001 was destroyed by the development department and the body is supposedly reused in 885005. In addition 885007 is reported to be destroyed in a fire in 1965. So we are down to 22 cars.
But not all cars are discovered yet. All 4 rhd ones are known (I =)(Q/"$%)(%/&)$/$%? to have not e-mailed the former owner of 860003 as I assumed, he never would sell the car. But he did around the time I purchased a good 63' FHC. I would give a lot to return back to this point and to write one or two e-mails asking him, if he would sell).
Regarding lhd FHC cars, the following are known:
885002
885004
885005
885008
885009
885011
885013
885017
885018
885020
This is it. As of today 4 rhd and 10 lhd cars are known! And I strongly assume, that there will be not so many more anymore. But time will tell.
I hope this helps!?
Regards
Stefan
