#1 Cooling Fan Shroud

Post by Series 1 » Wed Nov 23, 2011 8:34 pm

I have just replaced my Kenlowe fan for a Coolcat one. This also meant I had to buy an original style fan shroud as I didn't have one. This arrived today and is fibreglass and finished in hammered silver. Not sure if that is OEM but regardless, I think it looks cheap and nasty.

Does anyone know of an alternative in mild steel or, even better (and no doubt much more expensive), aluminium? I've done the usual search here and on Google but, short of a complete fan kit, have found nothing.

Thanks in advance.

originally they were fibreglass and the repro ones do look nasty. Worthwhile rubbing it down and repainting it. IIRC, they were just a flat silver colour.

Thanks for the reply. I've bolted it on to see how it looks but I'm not happy with it. I think you're right, I'll have to try rubbing it down and repainting it. I'm definitely getting too fussy in my old age.

Thanks again.
