Anyone know where I can buy one? Having taken off the water pump to replace the leaking gasket I can feel some movement in the shaft and seeing as this is the original pump - now is probably the right time to replace it - BUT i cant get the pulley off the front.
It has the 4 bolt holes (but no bolts). PlusGas is not moving it so I think its 50 year old rust that is holding it in place :(
I cant see the item on any websites.
Thanks all

Chris try some heat if you can't source a replacement

Chris,
Just glanced at the SNG Barrett catalogue and they list a whole variety of water pump pulleys on page 7. Checked a few of the part numbers on their online site and they all appear to be in stock.
But like Angus, I'd try heat, and also see if you can get a mate or a friendly local garage with a press to have a go at separating yours.

Dah... i am too lazy. I should have searched on part number and not a generic term. thanks found them but gosh they are expensive so heat is in order...

Ooh, try not to use heat. What you need is a puller , which will have it off in no time . They are not very expensive, or your local workshop will probably be able to remove it for you in minutes

Well the story ends here. PlusGas, plenty of heat and a 3 leg puller and I now have a broken waterpump pulley.
Heat on its own didn't do anything, so i borrowed a puller, applied more heat for 10 minutes and then fitted the puller. 10 seconds later BANG the puller simply pulled itself *through* the pulley.
Looks like I have no choice now but to dig into my pockets. I guess this is why all 4 bolts were missing on the pulley. Rust was a more secure fittment :(

Ah, that's bad but look on the bright side, at least you definately know you need one now!
