#1 Fuel gauge behaviour & accuracy

Post by david muir » Tue Sep 25, 2012 9:58 pm

Folks,
Probably been done before but couldn't find it!
My fuel gauge stays at 'full' for ages then all of a sudden plummets!.......everything on the sender unit is free and all connections , including earth , are good. What's the answer?
(normally just go around observing trip and fill up as it gets to 260miles or so!)
David

Could be the gauge. Wire it into the temp gauge and see if that behaves normally.
