ok guys, I appreciate that the following questions will no doubt generate a few different opinions but here goes anyway.
I am about to detail some of the items on my 62 3.8 FHC. First off, the carburettor to airbox manifold, steel bracket that is part of the brake servo assembly, and also the bracket that supports the radiator expansion tank. All of these items on my car when stripped were silver, but I am fairly sure they are NOT hammered finish silver. So what do you guys think? Hammered or smooth?
Next up the torsion bars, drop links and various other black items underneath? Gloss black or satin/flat black...not matt obviously.
Steering column, and steering column brackets. All were black but hard to say if they were one coat gloss or semi gloss as above?
Any guidance is much appreciated
thanks Andrew

This is a good resource for knowing colours:

Radius arms are satin black as are teh drop links etc (trouble is they dont stay that way and soon go matt with dirt)
Servo support was cadmium plated (whitish silver)
Header tank bracket is hammertone sliver but the support links were grey/green (apparently) which may have been zinc plating. Personally I nickel plated all of these...
