#1 green water pump

Post by 265bhp » Mon Jun 10, 2013 8:46 pm

dear all

I have a green water pump....somehow I dont think this is how they were meant to be...?

my car is a LHD 63 FHC, so it is correct to have a twin V groove pulley wheel, as the engine is after RA. 1001 plus the spring activated jockey pulley...so its the correct specification......but would this be an original e type pump...?..I rather like the green....but...all the images I have ever seem have these black....

and it has this serial number

HG
OHL
OCP 685

thoughts please

It looks like the XK120 water pump.

Hi Jonathan,

I've just had a look at mine and it is very slightly different to yours. The difference that I can see is where the long bolt goes through the assembly slightly to the right of the upward pointing hose connection; yours is lightly countersunk, and mine is slighly raised.

Oh, and mine isn't green ;-)

Also, the s/n on mine is;

149440
024

I'll send you a pic later if you want.

Hi Simon

That C14944 you have is the correct part number, C15694 is the other replacement part number, there are plenty of sellers on eBay in the USA who sell them, so have pictures a plenty, thanks for the offer though

If it's suitable for the car I'm going to leave it...a bit odd ball but it's part of the cars history..!

How's the work on your car going ?

Gone a bit mad on the car over the past couple of weeks - engine/box out, frames off, body tub completely stripped! The only thing left is the rear axle and that should be off this weekend....

Can't wait to start stripping down the engine :-) looks like you have already started??
