#1 Radtec and Fosseway 'Marston' radiator

Now got my Radtec radiator for the FHC. Beautifully made and with a high efficiency core plus finned side tanks:
I am going to try it with the standard fan and see how I get on.

David,
Surely not the standard fan you buy from B&Q in the lawn mower section. Is it worth the risk of boiling you new radiator?

Well, the ever reliable Christopher Storey uses the standard Lucas wiper motor with no major problems so I thought I would give it a go. I have the Coolcat fan and motor to hand but I want to see how the original (restored by yours truly) fares with this new high efficiency radiator and I will stick some Water Wetter in as well and see how it goes. I have, over the last 15 years of hard driving, become somewhat sceptical about claims of dire consequences if you do 'this or that' by vendors. To that end I am also swapping out the S2 callipers for the original Dunlop items and putting back the standard oil filter assembly in place of the 'spin-off' currently fitted (sorry, but that has to be the biggest scam going - both I and the garage floor still get covered in oil no matter which way it is done). There is also evidence to suggest the spin-on filter significantly reduces oil flow to the XK engine (source: JDC article by Mike Cassidy IIRC)
