
Dash fixing info please
#1 Dash fixing info please
Can any kind soul tell me whether there is a fixing on the very bottom of the left and right dash panels. If you look at the photo you will see a hole in the black vinyl covered part just below the guide bracket for the swing down centre dash panel. I don't recall what was in this hole and if there is a fixing can some one tell me what it should be please. It would be very close to fouling the alloy dash panel as it swings up Wonder whether its left empty?

I could be wrong but I wonder if that hole allows access to the bolt that holds the choke mechanism together. Tightening it stiffens up the mechanism. I haven't got that far yet as I've only just put my instrument panel in..

I think you are looking at the bg hole above the angle bracket not the hole below, tricky to see. It must have fixings in it . Anyone?

I think there is a 3\16 screw there.. See if there is a captive nut on the other side of the hole.

Thanks guys. There is no captive nut so I will fit a small nut and bolt should clear the dash centre Thanks chaps
