hi guys im after a valuation estimate on my series one e type, any ideas would be appreciated. this is the description :
Series one e type 2+2 FHC 1966 model, lebasto roof, bare metal restoration with a completed professional paint job. Full engine rebuild, original engine, gear box and chassis. English car with full documents. Restoration 3/4 finished.

You do not say whether the car is manual or automatic which is a key feature in valuation . Colour also has an effect, as does whether it is a left to right conversion , and the Webasto roof does not help the value in most people's eyes . When you say 3/4 restored - does this mean it is a running chassis which requires trim and glass etc, or is there more mechanical work required ? Also, the valuation will vary considerably according to its purpose - for insurance purposes, it will be the cost of getting you back to this position if the car was a total loss . For other purposes, such as sale or purchase the figure is likely to be lower.One person to go to for valuation is probably Graham Searle of the JEC who does valuations for insurance etc for a cost of ?12 if you are a member, and it might well be worth talking to him in any event .The JEC guide on their website suggests that for a condition 1, well restored but not concours, car , ?25000 is realistic. I think that in the current market that is a bit on the low side, and that a fully restored manual original rhd car in a desirable colour would probably sell in the ? early to mid 30s, should be insured for rather more than that , and in an incomplete state would be worth much less on a sale . All that having been said , the market for 2+2s is not a very enthusiastic one, and even in the last 12 months I have seen one or two perfectly respectable cars sell for ? 15000 or so
