My S1 4.2 must have had a column chane at some point? The ignition switch on the dash is not connected to anything, with the switch on the column active for power, though the starter is still the dash button.
Now the problem starts as the collar holding the switch to the steering column has broken, looks like some form of casting. Half the collar holding the switch to the column has departed. :-)
I cant work out if I need the S3 item C37103 as the pics in catalog show only the switch / lock and not the mounting collar to the steering column.
If I can post a pictured shared from Google drive I will.
Advice welcome as these seem quite expensive bits...170 ukp.
