Gents
I have a 63 FHC and my assumption is the screws that hold the lenses for front side markers and rear tail lens should be slotted.
can someone tell me the size of the screw
regards
Gary

They are an unusual thread with a 'nipple' on the end and, for some reason, no one makes reproductions. Not even Richard Smith but you could try giving him a call and see if he has got around to making any yet. Gap in the market,

I have seen them before on ebay but I will settle for a size number and not worry about the nipple then I can buy similar in stainless slotted

I'm looking for the same screws and came across this:-
https://www.canleyclassics.com/?xhtml=x ... iagram.xsl
I measured the screws in the front lights and they are 1/2" long and 0.175" in diameter.
Looking at the Canley Classics list the head is a type B but I'm not sure what "No" corresponds to the diameter.
It doesn't appear to have the nipple on the end of the thread either. But if I can get the right size in stainless steel then it would be close enough.
I'll contact them tomorrow to find out more info.

I spoke to someone at Canley Classics and apparently the page I was looking at was from the original Triumph Parts catalogue which someone had decided to upload and confuse everyone with.
The upshot is that the screws are marked as no longer available-surprise, surprise.
Cheers

The original slotted screws were chrome plated. I am still one short for my FHC having had 5 kindly donated to me by Angus and found four in my spares cupboard. I have been pressing Richard Smith to make some but nothing so far. I did find something similar in the JEC shop ( somebody had made a batch for the saloons) but they were all long gone.

I spoke to Richard today and he doesn't have any in stock
at the moment. I asked him about remanufacturing them and he said 500 would be the minimum viable order in terms of cost. Maybe we should start a thread to see if there is a demand for them?
