Post by jdwcooke » Mon Jun 30, 2014 10:53 am

Hi I am looking for my Mums E type S2 1968 Reg MBV240G . It was choc brown when my mum had it about 35 years a go. 1979. ish.

I have a S1 1967 , 1E77473 - I am retoring in lancashire.

Would like to find my mums old car.

We lived in the lancashire area north west of england.

Not listed in the JDC register of owners. MBV 530G is however. Their VIN number is 1R1060 so you could start on XKEdata.com with those numbers are work back to see if it is there.

Hi - DVLA shows it as not on the road since the end of 1986..... Not too helpful, I know, but at least it was around up until then - and no indication it's been exported or the number reassigned.

Depends how badly you want to find it. There are some private investigators that will track down cars for you. I presume they have friends in the police who can access the computer records?
