I am wanting to remove the steering wheel to polish the aluminium. I took of the horn, but couldn't get into the large nut.
Can anyone advise what the nut size is and best way to get at it?
Thanks
Dave

There should be two parts - a spring lock-nut and a normal nut. They are both the same size but if they are lined up the hex socket will slip over both and make removal difficult. So you need to feed the hex socket in carefully and remove the spring nut first. You should then have access to the main nut. Once both are removed you may still have some difficulty getting the wheel off as it is not only on a spline but also held by two conical pieces. Loosen the knurled steering wheel lock and pull the wheel sharply towards you and it should release but be careful not to lose the two conical wedges.

Thank you.
Do you know the size of the nuts?
Thanks

Can't recall the size but 1" I think.
36 = Palnut
34 = main nut
33 = bits that will fall out when you remove the wheel
