You can buy complete sets of fasteners for the bonnet relatively easily . Try Hutsons in Bradford, Yorkshire, England 0044 1274 669052

Hi Maikel,
Your timing is good, I'm assembling my 1967 bonnet right now, and I made a list when I dismantled it......
68......Self tapping screws 14G x 5/8"
46......Setscrews 1/4"UNC x 5/8"
46......Nuts for above setscrews
122....1/4" spring washers
36......1/4" Plain washers
22......Spacing washers Part No C10193 (between wings and centre section)
127....Special Washers Part No BD 542/3(Elongated Oval)
I have, however, replaced all of the above with stainless steel items, and, in the case of the setscrews and nuts, used 1/4"UNF x 5/8"
Exceptions being Spacing and Special washers, which I replaced with normal steel items (both available from SNG Barratt.......)
Plus a good few tubes of black Sikaflex.......!!
Best of luck,
Norman.

1.0 Most of the photos of original cars I have seen have the fastenings body colour, but I could be corrected on this.....?
2.0 If you go to the Knowledge Base (Tech. Info and Docs.) the position of each type of fastening is listed on P204 of the "Bonnet and Front Wings Assembly"
Regards,
Norman.

Hi Everyone
I know this is an old thread, but I'm looking for the correct fixings for the heater air intake assembly. Mine currently sports a mixture of set screws with oval washers and hex headed self tappers. I can't find the
" bonnet and front wings assembly" mentioned by Norman in the last post. I suspect the Knowledge Base has been revamped since 2014.
Cheers
Alan

Nothing has been changed in the Knowledge Base other than to add more information. Norman was referring to page 204 of the J37 SPC which lists all the nuts, screws and washers along with their position.

Thanks David.
I think I need part no:-DAZ.814/10C but it doesn't register on either the David Manners or the SNGB websites. Fortunately XKs unlimited specify it as a No14x5/8" Pozidrive pan head. So I've ordered them off everyone's favourite auction site. A pack of 25 stainless steel for £3.59-can't be bad.
Cheers
Alan
