I would quite like to get the clock working again in the Rev counter. Would anyone have any suggestion on where to send it to get fixed/upgraded. I'm in Hampshire Uk.
Thanks all!

Mike Ecke in the USA. Quick turnaround and he makes the clock both reliable and accurate: http://www.jaguarclock.com/

If you want it to be reliable then upgrade to a quartz movement.
The original clocks are unreliable and either gain or loose time by quite a lot.
This is what I did 3 years ago and it still works perfectly and keeps very good time. They are available at most of the spares outlets. I bought mine from Manners.

hello
one year ago, I also send my clock to Mike ECK (USA) and I am very satisfied.
I think it's the only one who does this sort of thing.
You can send him an email directly: Mike@jaguarclock.com
or actually go to the website:

Good luck.

A silly story. Like most E-types, my clock was only right twice a day, and one day I'm driving along and I know, I just know, that something isn't right. I finally realised the clock was working after a period of about 10 years slumber. During the rebuild last year, Speedy Cables put a quartz one in and now for some strange reason it annoys me. Damned things always right!

The most reassuring thing is being able to sit quietly for a few moments after a spirited drive and listen to the ticking of the exhaust, counter balanced by the ticking of the clock. This is where Mike Ecke's modification scores - his clock still ticks; the quartz modifications do not. That is what is probably unsettling you Tony!

By the way, if sending your clock to Mike, he can also convert the tachometer to activation by the coil versus the old tach generator (for the earlier cars). I'm another happy customer.
