#1 Brake MC push rod length

Post by abowie » Sat Jan 10, 2015 1:29 am

Can someone measure a pushrod for me?

Earlier 4.2s have a transitional pedal box fitted, which is different from the all cast aluminium unit from the 2+2s. The push rod for the brake master cylinder for this pedal box is different, and is longer than that in the later model.
The part number for this push rod is C25901. Here it is on the SNG website.

I have reassembled an early pedal box but to me the amount of freeplay in the brake pedal suggests the pushrod I have fitted is too short.
On the off chance someone has one lying about, could you give me the measurement from the clevis pin hole to the end of the rod?
Andrew.
