Is it possible to access the 8 pin multi socket on the n/s bonnet diaphragm without removing the diaphragm?
Can it be reached from the n/s headlamp opening if the sugar scoop is removed?

Novice's question I know but I didn't want to get into removing the scoop without knowing it was going to get me to my suspect multi pin socket!
My failed main beam issue looks like it's resolved - no 2 pin had a poor intermittant connection so I re-did it and main beam works. whether it still will after I've re-assembled things remains to be seen!
