Stainless transfer pipes

I just bought a set of transfer pipes from SNG for my new project and I see they are now SS. I felt sure my previous pipes were copper painted black. The SS seems a good idea, but not sure why copper was no good. However the braize seems to leave a non original look around the visible side of the flange that I am not sure I like. Anyone found similar issues or comments?
