The radiator cowl on my Series One 4.2 seems too big for the radiator in that the side edges of the radiator and the edges of the cowl do not correspond.
The sponge seal is not sandwiched between the two.
The cowl, although it didn't come with the car is an original Jaguar item and the radiator, although re-cored is exactly the same size as the original, which I still have.
The 3.8 and the Series Two cowls are completely different from the 4.2, so I can't see how it could be the wrong cowl.
Is this misfit normal?
