Y am fitting my bonnet but it has no chrome beading ! Y want them and my question is : is there a space washer beetween the wing and the central pannel to keep space for setting the chrome beading and its brass clip :
Some one told me they have to be , but y don't see in the Jaguar parts book any kind of washer .....? If anyone has photos of d?tails of the bonnet... y'll appreciate

Hi,
Yes, there are special spacing washers between the centre bonnet panel and the wings. The part number is C10193 and there is 22 of them (11 each side). SNG Barratt stock them.........

Norman.

Dear Lataud,

There is nothing special about the spacer washers other than their thickness - they are about 2mm thick which is much more than a standard washer you'd expect to buy in a hardware store.

The brass clips are held in place by pulling them down and then folding them back towards the bonnet seams and again to form a Z shape at either side.

kind regards
Marek

Well, not quite Marek, not only the thickness, as the diameter at 3/4" (19 mm) is much greater than a standard 1/4" m/c washer.......

Norman.

The spacer in position, before adding the chrome beading.

Don't forget to protect the edges of the different elements... Don't scratch the paint at this very exposed place!

Thanks, y have sticked some tape on all these location ! My problem is how to rebuild the bonnet? Y think that y must fit one Wing (3) on the central pannel (2) without tightenning the bolts and then place the parts 1 on it , mark their location on the central pannel and then stick them with the rignt "cartridge sticking past"
